Cathy Hung
Miss Hung has been a full-time volunteer for 16 years. She spends three months every year visiting prisons in Taiwan to help individuals addicted to drugs stop compulsive drug use, and she is also a volunteer at the addiction centre in Toronto. Through Hope Talk, Miss Hung will be sharing her volunteering and counselling experiences. Miss Hung was born in Taichung, Taiwan. In 1988, she immigrated to Toronto and started a greenhouse cut-flower business. Later on, she became a high school teacher and taught for ten years. She established Toronto Taiwanese Choir, Toronto Taiwanese Chamber Orchestra, and Formosa Evergreen Senior Citizens Centre, and she is also the President of Taiwanese-Canadian Association. In 2012, she recieved the Excellence Award from Canadian Multicultural Council.
